VEED: A Fast & Easy Online Video Editing Platform

Video editing is one of the most important components of video making in today’s digital era. It is so significant that it can make or break your video marketing campaign. Why? Because videos are visual and you must engage a person visually to encourage him/her to click on your video, like Facebook ads and Google Ads campaigns. But the sad thing is, even those who have spent money and time creating the best SEO-optimized video fail to mobilize their audience because they fail to add a final touch of editing. The good thing is we have VEED.

Veed is a start-up company based in London that aims to make video editing accessible to all without the need to download the software as well as without even an account. Veed started from a dissertation. Today, it is one of the growing video editing sites which greatly helps not only students, teachers, but also marketers to enhance their raw videos to look more professional and well-made.

Understanding VEED is not rocket science as the founders wanted it to be child-friendly and easy to navigate. In this post, we will have a walk-through on how to start editing using Veed in hopes to help you have an understanding of how VEED works.

Once we open Veed.io, even without a login credentials, we can start editing by uploading your video.

And you will be redirected to the dashboard to select whether you want to record a video, upload a video file or utilize a brand kit if you have a premium pro subscription. After uploading, you can find the list of tools to add another video, subtitles, text, or even draw and add filters to your project. The timeline of your project is located at the bottom of the screen so you’ll be able to see all the video clips, audio, and transitions you selected. And once done editing you can export the file using the button on the top right corner. These are the basics of Veed’s navigational panel. Let’s dive into some of the basic tools you might need and might want to utilize.

Resizing Video

The social media landscape is constantly changing. There might be a time when you have to resize your video for a specific network of your choice. It could be from social media giants like Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram. Or it could just be from a smaller platform that requires a specific size. Luckily, Veed comes in handy.

When you have added the video file to your project, simply click “Setting” and choose the desired size you want. Veed has 11 size templates you could utilize. This includes sizes for TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and many more. Check it first hand. With Veed, there’s you don’t need to worry about the quality of the video as it will be retained.

Cropping Video

What many people don’t realize is how important video cropping is. You don’t want to make the same mistake that thousands of video creators do when they upload their videos to YouTube by simply changing the video size and setting the height at 16:9 or 4:3 and uploading it that way.

With feed, cropping video is as easy as counting 1 to 3. All you need to do is adjust or drag the corners or still click “Settings” and select your preset size.

Add Subtitles

With every video you make, whether it be for a blog post or video marketing campaign, you should always include subtitles for your audience. Adding subtitles is vital to your success in not only getting views on YouTube but also creating better positioning for search engines. The reason why adding subtitles is so important is because it allows the viewer to actually be able to understand what you are saying, rather than having to rely solely on sound.

Adding subtitles in Veed is so easy, on the left. Select “Subtitles” and you may add it manually, upload a subtitle file, or automatically generate subtitles.

Merging Videos

Merging videos is not only easy to do but it can be a great way to better your video marketing. Producing a high-quality video can be expensive, especially if you’re making one for marketing purposes. Sometimes you might want to include more information or just explain something in more detail, but won’t want to alienate the audience by going too far into the details and making it boring. This tool makes merging video and adding a transition easy. All you have to do is upload a new file and arrange it on the timeline. Once you have done arranging you can add transitions by clicking the button between the two clips you added.

How Easy is Veed?

Veed is actually a straightforward and easy tool to use. Once you have added the image to your project, all you need to do is navigate the toolbar on the left side of the screen to add the assets you want to add or to edit your raw videos. And, once you’re done, simply click “Export” to download your edited video. Veed is designed to be accessible and can be used by people of different ages and different needs.

Gone are the days when you can simply upload a static image or audio to your video and get views and conversion. People have already found their attention span shrinking by the minute, so they want more in less time. You need to be able to edit your videos. The impression that your video gives is everything, and it’s important to know how you can make the most of it. Veed is one click away.
