Who Will Win The AFC? Look at The Odds and NFL Stats

Before the start of the football games this weekend, gamblers have an option to bet on who will win the AFC. Before the Super Bowl, the NFL Playoffs are set up for the top team in the AFC to compete against the top team in the NFC. Bettors have an option, with most sportsbooks, to place a bet on who they think will be the winner.

While there is not much time left, there is enough for bettors to make sure they know who they are choosing and why. Let’s take a look at the odds and the NFL stats for teams who are competing to win the AFC this weekend.

Tennessee Titans +350

The Tennessee Titans, who finished this season as the number one seed in the AFC, are currently floating around +350 to win the AFC.

While that seems crazy, they were the best team in the AFC during the regular season; there are some other excellent teams in the AFC that have a lot more playoff success in the past. Because they are the number one seed, they have a first-round bye, so bettors know the Titans will at least make it to next weekend.

The Titans do have a very important piece coming back to their offense in Derrick Henry. After suffering an injury to his foot in Week 8, Henry will suit up, hopefully, for his first game since the injury next weekend.

D’Onta Foreman did a solid job in Henry’s absence and could play a vital role if the Titans are going to make a deep run. Another name to remember is A.J. Brown, who was the leading receiver for the Titans, collecting 869 receiving yards and five touchdowns.

Buffalo Bills +350

The Buffalo Bills are the team that people are skeptical about being ranked so high. The Bills finished the season with an 11-6 record and will have one of the toughest draws to get to the Super Bowl.

If the Bills were to beat the Patriots, in the regular season they split the two games they played; they would then have to take on either the Bengals or the Raiders, which are high-powered offenses.

They then would take on the winner of the Chiefs/Steelers and Titans, which are the top teams in the AFC.

Buffalo does have one of the most skilled quarterbacks in the NFL, Josh Allen. One of the strongest arms in football, Allen through for 4400 yards this season.

If there is one skepticism to his game, it is that he turns the ball over, recording 15 interceptions with 36 touchdowns.

Stefon Diggs will have to have big games for the Bills to succeed, as he was the leading receiver, recording 1225 yards and ten touchdowns.

Kansas City Chiefs +125

After a rough start to the season, the Chiefs seem to have found their rhythm. The Chiefs ended the season going 9-1 in their final ten games.

The Chiefs have been in the Super Bowl the last two seasons, and this season looks like there is great potential for that to happen again. With one of the best offenses in the league, the Kansas City defense just has to be mediocre for them to have a shot at being successful.

Patrick Mahomes has been one of the best quarterbacks for the last three seasons. After a rough start, Mahomes has been nothing short of spectacular.

Mahomes has recorded 19 passing touchdowns in his last ten games with just four interceptions. While Tyreek Hill is a name to remember, Travis Kelce could significantly impact the Chiefs’ success.

The Winner

While the easy bet would be to take the Chiefs, there are other teams that, if they get hot, could definitely make a run. A sleeper team to consider is the Cincinnati Bengals, who are at +650. Their offensive firepower could be brutal to match up against.

From a gambling perspective, and if the odds stay the way they are, bettors should take the +175 for the Chiefs to win the AFC.
